We started as a handful of people meeting in Cascais to talk about Bitcoin without the noise. Since then we've grown to a few hundred, with a core that shows up month after month.

Our events tend to look like this: real conversation in a circle where everyone introduces themselves, someone sharing something they know well, food that people bring and trade, and a long tail of conversation afterwards. We've done potlucks, outdoor meetups, self-custody sessions, and an annual gathering each spring.

We're Bitcoin-only. That's not a purity test, it's a filter that keeps the conversation honest. Beyond that, people here land in different places on the spectrum from full self-custody to more pragmatic setups, and we think the disagreement is useful.
