The Pizza Day Thing

Bury St Edmunds Bitcoin has responded
Description
Each year, May 22 marks the anniversary of the day in 2010 when Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas in the first Bitcoin transaction. The day has become legendary, first because it was the first commercial use of bitcoins, but more so because of Bitcoin's worth in the following years.
There will be organised and impromptu events around the town on the day, with many vendors accepting SATS. Grab a haircut at Carters, a sports massage, accupuncture session and much more at Bury Physio, have a coffee at Alema, enjoy tea and cake at Procopios, go full carnivore at Meat & Greet steakhouse or have a drink at Verve Bar, Nightclub & Pizzeria. Between now and May we aim to onboard more businesses, too.
In the evning, a more formal, ticketed, event is being held at the historic Guildhall, a medieval Grade 1 listed building situated in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. The building is one of the oldest civil buildings in the country, with records going back as far as the 1100's. Find out more here.
The focus then shifts to this event in the evening.
