Description

We’d love to invite our local community to a relaxed, educational event about Bitcoin. This gathering is part of the Australian Bitcoin Bush Bash, a grassroots, Bitcoin-only weekend meetup series that brings people together in regional towns across the country. There are no sponsors, no tickets, and no hype… just real conversations, genuine community, and a focus on understanding Bitcoin. What it’s not: • Not commercially driven • No pressure to buy into anything • No get rich quick schemes • Not about trading or speculation What it is: • Education focused and beginner friendly • Family and community oriented • Shared by everyday people who actually use and understand it • Respectful of privacy and personal choice • Grounded in ideas around fairness, freedom, and responsibility • Open to anyone who’s simply curious • Completely free to attend WHAT TO EXPECT: Friday: Technical & Privacy Day Friday morning eases us into the weekend with a technical and privacy-focused deep dive into what’s happening right now in Bitcoin. Expect thoughtful sessions on emerging tools, protocols, and ideas, designed for those who want to stretch their understanding and stay close to the frontier. Friday Evening: Pub Meet & Greet Most people will have rolled into town by this point, making Friday night our first social evening together. After the sessions, we head to a local pub or brewery. No panels. No stages. Just good food, drinks, and relaxed conversation. This is where long-form discussions start, friendships form, and ideas collide. Saturday & Sunday: The Main Event Saturday and Sunday are the heart of the weekend. Both days are filled with community-led, volunteer talks, covering a wide range of topics: Beginner-friendly sessions for those finding their feet More advanced talks for experienced Bitcoiners Practical, philosophical, technical, and cultural perspectives This is a community event in the truest sense, people sharing what they’ve learned, what they’re building, and what they’re questioning. A BIT MORE CONTEXT... It’s also worth saying that Bitcoin often gets lumped in with the broader crypto space, which can include a lot of hype, noise, and unfortunately scams. If you’ve had a negative experience there, you’re not alone and there’s no judgment here. This is simply a chance to slow things down, ask questions, and explore the topic in a thoughtful way. Bring a notebook, an open mind, and a healthy dose of curiosity. We’d love to see you there. More info: https://bitcoinbushbash.info
